DNP, FNP- C
Erin Miyashiro, DNP, FNP-C is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii where she attended University of Hawaii at Hilo for her undergraduate degrees in Nursing. During her junior and senior year at University of Hawaii, she spent her time as a healthcare advocate; taking blood pressures and helping participants interpret their readings. Additionally, she volunteered and participated in different campaigns and projects where she was able to effectively promote positive behavioral change in adults and teens.
Erin later continued at University of Hawaii to get her Doctorate’s degree in Nursing Practice. After obtaining her doctorate’s degree, she trained as a resident where she was focused on delivering quality of care for the underserved in New Mexico. Erin explains, “ I love supporting families, children, and rural residents in empowering them over the course of their lives and I see myself as a partner in keeping them healthy and well.”
In her spare time, Erin enjoys exploring Nevada and playing with her dog. She is very excited to be part of Family Doctors Medical Center and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of providers.
