What are your office hours?
- Pecos: Monday through Friday 7AM - 7PM. Saturday 9AM - 3PM.
- Jones: Monday through Thursday 9AM - 7PM, Friday 9AM – 5PM. Friday. Closed for lunch from 1PM-2PM.

What do we need to bring at the time of visit?
You need to carry your health insurance card and picture identity card. If your appointment concerns a medical report, bring it if you have it. New patients should bring all their prescription bottles along with names, addresses, and phone numbers of previous providers.
Can a minor be seen alone?
Minors need to be accompanied by their parent(s) and/or guardian(s). If the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) are unable to come in with the patient, they may send a signed letter stating that the patient is permitted to be seen in the office alone, along with a copy of the parent's or guardian’s photo ID.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes, we may offer same-day appointments, depending on the provider you would like to see.
What if I need to someone right away and I don’t have an appointment?
Walk-ins are based on the provider's schedule and their availability. In doing so, we will make sure to accommodate the best we can for your needs.
If you would like to schedule a doctor’s appointment now, we offer real time online appointment booking 24 hours a day.
Are there any charges for cancelling the appointment?
Patient will not be charged for cancelling the appointment, but we would appreciate a 24-hour notice for cancellation. This will help us to keep the office running efficiently for everyone.
How can I request my medical records?
There are two options for obtaining copies of your records. Please be advised, patient's will be charged $0.60 fee per page for any records over 10 pages.

Do we need to schedule an appointment in advance?
Although walk-ins are welcome, we highly encourage scheduling an appointment in advance as walk-ins are based on the Provider's availability. If you would like to see a particular Provider, then an appointment is required. To schedule, give us a call or setup an appointment online.
What is Primary Care?
Primary care is the first point of contact a person has with the health system – the point where people receive care for most of their everyday health needs.
What is a Primary Care Provider?
A Primary Care Provider acts as the principal point of consultation for patients within a health care system and coordinates other specialists that the patient may need. As Primary Care Providers, we make sure you get all the services that optimize your health and quality of life, whatever your age or health issues.
How do I know if I need to see a specialist?
Your Primary Care Provider does all the tests necessary to monitor your health and determine when a specialist may be required. Your Provider will make the recommendation when it is time.
How can I get my prescription refilled?
It depends on when your last visit with our office was, and what type of medication is being refilled.
NARCOTICS will NOT be refilled without an office visit with one of our providers.
Contact our office for any prescription questions. Please give our office 48 hours to either complete the prescription or get back to you regarding your request.
Physicals and Testing
What is BHRT and how can it help me?
BHRT is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Hormones regulate metabolism and many bodily functions. If your hormones are not at the right level, it can contribute to health problems, like obesity, depression, sexual dysfunction, fatigue, and more. Supplementation with bioidentical hormones can gently bring your levels back to their optimal levels so you can make progress in reaching your health and wellbeing goals.
Bioidentical hormones are just like the ones your own body makes, so they are safe and effective.
When you sign up for our BHRT program, we do bloodwork to test your hormone levels, see where supplementation is needed, and monitor your progress, adjusting the dosages when needed to make sure they are just right for you.
Where is the testing done?
Most tests are performed at our location so that you will have the convenience and time savings of having them at a familiar location. Special tests may be referred out.
Do you do pap tests?
Yes, our providers are able to do routine GYN tests including pap smears, orders for mammograms, STD testing, etc.
What is the procedure to have blood tests or certain procedures done?
Our Pecos-Henderson location has an in-house LabCorp where our staff can schedule your appointment with them at your visit. For non-insured and self-pay patients, there may be an additional charge from the lab that is processing your lab work. For more details, please do not hesitate to call us.
Do I need to fast for blood work/labs?
Whether you need to fast depends on what type of blood work will be ordered by your provider. Verify with one of the medical assistants or your provider whether you will need to fast or not for the blood work they have ordered.
Billing and Insurance
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept payment in cash, Care credit card, credit cards, and ATM debit card with Visa or Mastercard logo. We also accept American Express and Discover as forms of payment. You also have an opportunity to set up a payment plan.

We do NOT accept checks for the following: cash/self-pay and Weight Loss patients.
For WEIGHT LOSS PATIENTS ONLY, we accept Care Credit as well as the types of payments listed above.
Do I need to pay at the time of service?
Depending on your insurance, we will either need to collect co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible.
For self-pay/cash pay patients, we will collect your full office visit payment at the time of service and as well as the cost of any procedures done in office on the same day.
What Medical Insurances are accepted?

Can I still be seen in your office even if you are not contracted with my insurance?
Yes, you can still be seen in our office, but you will be expected to be a self-pay / cash pay patient. All payments will be collected upfront, including any payments for procedures done in the office. What is the Affordable Care Act (also known as ACA)?
ACA is a United States federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama. Starting 2014, most people must have health coverage or they will be responsible to pay a fee.
What is the Marketplace?
The Marketplace gives you more choice and control over your health coverage. In the Marketplace, you can compare coverage options that fit your budget and needs. In Nevada, our Marketplace is the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange.
What Insurances are under the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange?
Anthem BCBS, St. Mary’s Health Plans, HPN, and Nevada Health Co-op are currently available.
Which of the Exchange Insurances does Family Doctors Medical Center accepts?
Currently, we are contracted with Anthem BCBS and St. Mary’s Health Plans.
Why do I need an MD for my case?
Having a Medical Director on your case will help justify all the studies needed and the need for a Physical Therapist / Chiropractor. We will be able to monitor the progress and prevent overtreatment or undertreatment. We are able to make the initial assessment and better direct your case. Visit Why See an MD for more information.
Do I need an attorney?
Having an attorney will greatly help in the settlement of your case. If you have not obtained an attorney yet, we would be more than willing to help you obtain the best attorney for your type of injury.
What types of injuries do you see?
We see different types of injury cases, anything from motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, to food poisoning.
How long do I have to be treated?
This is a case to case basis, some patients see us for just a few months some for years. It truly depends on the patient’s progress with the treatments given.
How does BHRT fit in with the rest of my weight loss program?
When people have a hard time losing weight despite diet and exercise changes, it could be the result of a hormone imbalance. Hormones affect your metabolism rate and many bodily functions. We have a Physician Supervised Medical weight loss program, which includes medication such as HCG, Phentermine, and other medications that can work with your existing medical conditions, all of will be discussed at your appointment time. Your weight loss program will be specifically tailored to your physical condition and weight loss goals.
What is the average weight loss per month?
Our average weight loss is around 2 to 6 pounds per week. Every patient is different. The important thing is to lose the weight safely and maintain health through the process.
What is the caloric diet for the HCG and the medication program?
The HCG Program has strict diet of 500kcal/day and only used where medically appropriate.
The diet for the medication program is 1200kcal or 1500kcal/day.
Our programs are medically monitored so you can maintain and even improve your health through your weight loss.
We also have a nutritionist that can work with you directly if you have any special dietary restrictions.
What are the medications given on the medication program?
The medications dispensed will depend on the initial visit. You will be evaluated first by our medical provider before any medication will be prescribed to you.
We do dispense phentermine, tenuate and bontril inhouse at our clinic.
How long should I be on the medication program?
This will depend on how much you want to lose. Our clinic recommends at least 3 months on the medication program. We encourage and help in weight loss with proper transition to a healthier lifestyle.
What is included in an InBody Analysis?
The Body Composition Analysis shows the amount of fat versus lean muscle in the human body. The InBody analysis will look beyond the number on the scale and show your body composition proportions: fat, water, muscle mass, and skeletal mass.
Can I exercise on the medication program?
Yes, you can exercise on the medication program. Exercise has many benefits to the body apart from weight control.

My Allergy Symptoms Are Only In The Spring And Summer, Can I Receive My Immunotherapy Treatment Just At That Time?
Limiting your immunotherapy to just the spring and summer does not give your immune system time to adapt to allergens which cause you to have symptoms. Immunotherapy injections are required year-round to experience the long-term benefits.
