Primary Care

A Primary Care Provider acts as the principal point of consultation for patients within a health care system and coordinates other specialists that the patient may need. As Primary Care Providers, we make sure you get all the services that optimize your health and quality of life, whatever your age or health issues.

Your Primary Care Provider does all the tests necessary to monitor your health and determine when a specialist may be required. Your Provider will make the recommendation when it is time.

It depends on when your last visit with our office was, and what type of medication is being refilled.

NARCOTICS will NOT be refilled without an office visit with one of our providers.

Contact our office for any prescription questions. Please give our office 48 hours to either complete the prescription or get back to you regarding your request.

Physicals and Testing

Most tests are performed at our location so that you will have the convenience and time savings of having them at a familiar location. Special tests may be referred out.

We will give you a special binder in which you can keep your test results. We call it the Personal Health Record.

Your binder contains:

  • your personal health overview,
  • lab tests,
  • reports of any other exams and screenings,
  • specific health conditions, and
  • a personal notes and questions area.

You can compare your results at any time, and you can bring your binder to appointments.

Yes, our providers are able to do routine GYN tests including pap smears, orders for mammograms, dexa scans, STD testing, etc.

We do most of the blood work and procedures in our office, and you need to schedule an appointment for the blood draws, ultrasounds, dexascans, stress test, etc. For Non-insured and self-pay patients, there might be additional charge from the labs for processing lab work. You may call the front office for more details.

Whether you need to fast depends on what type of blood work will be ordered by your provider. Verify with one of the medical assistants or your provider whether you will need to fast or not for the blood work they have ordered.

Billing and Insurance

Depending on your insurance, we will either need to collect co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible.

For self-pay/cash pay patients, we will collect your full office visit payment at the time of service and as well as the cost of any procedures done in office on the same day.

We accept most of the insurances that are PPO’s. You can contact us to find out if your specific insurance is accepted or not.

We do not take HMO, unless specified. We DO accept the following:

Personal Injury

Having an attorney will greatly help in the settlement of your case. If you have not obtained an attorney yet, we would be more than willing to help you obtain the best attorney for your type of injury.

We see different types of injury cases, anything from motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, to food poisoning.

This is a case to case basis, some patients see us for just a few months some for years. It truly depends on the patient’s progress with the treatments given.

Weight Loss

When people have a hard time losing weight despite diet and exercise changes, it could be the result of a hormone imbalance. Hormones affect your metabolism rate and many bodily functions. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy gently helps bring your hormones back into balance making it easier to lose weight and helping you to feel better as your body just works better.

Bioidentical Hormones are just like the ones your body makes, so they are safe and effective. We monitor the dosage just as we monitor the rest of the program.

We have a Physician Supervised Medical weight loss program, which includes medication such as HCG, Phentermine, and other medications that can work with your existing medical conditions, all of will be discussed at your appointment time. Your weight loss program will be specifically tailored to your physical condition and weight loss goals.

Our average weight loss is around 2 to 6 pounds per week. Every patient is different. The important thing is to lose the weight safely and maintain health through the process.

The HCG Program has strict diet of 500kcal/day and only used where medically appropriate.

The diet for the medication program is 1200kcal or 1500kcal/day.

Our programs are medically monitored so you can maintain and even improve your health through your weight loss.

We also have a nutritionist that can work with you directly if you have any special dietary restrictions.

The medications dispensed will depend on the initial visit. You will be evaluated first by our medical provider before any medication will be prescribed to you.

We do dispense phentermine, tenuate and bontril inhouse at our clinic.

This will depend on how much you want to lose. Our clinic recommends at least 3 months on the medication program. We encourage and help in weight loss with proper transition to a healthier lifestyle.

The Body Composition Analysis shows the amount of fat versus lean muscle in the human body. The InBody analysis will look beyond the number on the scale and show your body composition proportions: fat, water, muscle mass, and skeletal mass.

Yes, you can exercise on the medication program. Exercise has many benefits to the body apart from weight control.

I've been a patient of Family Doctors of Green Valley for 2 years now. Originally was coming for regular family practice appointments and I have never been disappointed. Nice office and great staff! They never have me waiting too long in the waiting room, which I really love. I recently learned that they do medical weight loss, so now I am using HCG for the first time and loving it because I am losing weight easily without being hungry. My energy levels are higher than ever. This office is so great. I would recommend it for sure!

I recently had a routine chest x-ray done. A follow up appointment was scheduled. Days before my appointment a call was received by me stating that something was seen in my lungs and a CT was needed. I had the CT done. A day later DR. GARCIA called me with some scary news. The CT results did not look good. Before she notified me she reached out to another top notch surgeon who only sees patients on Mondays. With her overwhelming concern and the help of this doctors nurse, I was able to secure a appointment for this Monday. I would just like to thank DR. GARCIA, and TRACY, the referrals specialist. They may have saved my LIFE!!!!!
