Joshua (Josh) Smith, PA-C is a Physician Assistant who grew up and completed his education in Oregon prior to relocating to Nevada in 2012. Prior to school, Josh was a medic in the Army. During his time in the military, he excelled in situations where he was under pressure and had to make life-saving decisions quickly in a constantly changing environment. This experience solidified his decision to become a Physician Assistant.

After Josh was discharged, he completed his master’s at Oregon Health and Science University. Throughout his education, he spent his time studying in underserved rural areas where he gained experiences that prepared him to efficiently service patients with limited supplies. He spent most of his studies pursuing his passion in family medicine and many other fields, including orthopedic surgery, endocrinology, internal medicine, and pediatrics.

In his free time, Josh enjoys being active outdoors, biking, and hiking with his wife and kids. As Josh has been with our clinic for over 8 years, he has earned the trust of his patients here at Family Doctors Medical Center and we are excited he is part of our team.
